22422 FM 2920

Bring out the entire family or bring your sweetheart for a fun movie night!  We're located on FM 2920 just a minutes west of Tomball.

A few tips from "Lil Tug" to help you make the most out of your visit to

The Showboat Drive-in and Answers to FAQ's.

New Movie Information is updated every Tuesday for the upcoming movies.

Your ticket allows you admission for two movies playing on the same screen. This means you'll get to see two movies for half the price!  We suggest that you arrive at the theater one hour before the first show.  Alternatively, if you're planning to watch only the 2nd show, you'll want to arrive about thirty minutes prior to the show time.  The audio for the movies is broadcast through an FM transmitter to your radio, so make sure you have a good sound system in your vehicle, or feel free to bring a battery operated boom box.  We recommend that pick-up trucks park backwards so that the tailgate  end is facing the movie screen, that way you can fill the bed of your truck with lawn chairs, pillows and blankets while you watch the movie from there.  You can also place lawn chairs and in front or behind your vehicle if you'd like to sit outside of your vehicle, as long as you are not obstructing anyone's view or taking up additional parking spaces that are needed for other patrons.  We have a snack bar full of treats and goodies from hot buttery fresh popcorn, ice cold drinks to your favorite movie candy, burgers, hot dogs, nachos and more!  We ask that you please help support the drive-in and not bring in outside food or drinks.  Thank you.

Showboat Drive-in Guide Lines:

Please do not sit on top of your vehicle.

Pull your vehicle tires on top of the ramps for best viewing.

Please turn off your engine and keep it off after you are parked.

Please do not leave your children unattended.

Do not park in the walkway, designated by the blue or red lights.

Speed limit is 5 mph as there are children playing and walking between vehicles.

We are still working on the surface of the lot, so please do not spin your tires.

When leaving please exit to the west, or opposite of the ticket booth.

Feel free to talk and visit but please do not disturb other patrons.

Movies will typically start at dusk, although time will vary with the seasons.

Please do not bring outside food, as our Snack Bar sales help to keep us open.

Please place your trash in the trash cans not on the ground.

Our kitchen closes after “Intermission” so be sure to place your orders before this.

The Snack Bar opens when the gates open and closes 20 minutes into the 2nd feature.

Please leave laser pointers at home, as this can bother other patrons.

Please use caution when pulling out on to FM2920... we want you to come back!

Drugs and Alcohol are strictly prohibited at our establishment, although if for any reason you feel unable to safely drive your vehicle, contact us at the Snack Bar so we may call a cab for you.

May we run our engine during the movie?

No we must ask that everyone turn off their engine after they are parked.

Noisy car engines are bothersome to your neighbors in then next car. Also Carbon Monoxide that comes out of your tail pipe is poisonous and can build up with several vehicles running in close proximity to each other. This could cause harm to you or others. This rule must be followed at all times and will be enforced.  If you refuse to follow this or any of the Drive-in rules you may be asked to leave with no refund.  Let's keep the air fresh for everyone to enjoy!

How do you hear the movies?

For the FRONT Screen turn your car stereo or portable radio to 98.9 FM.

For the BACK Screen tune to FM 98.1, for some of the best movie sound ever!

(Turn your car key backwards, to the accessory position and tune in.)

Do you give group discounts?

Our prices are kept as low as possible for a double feature so we do not give discounts.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes. We accept cash or credit cards. We also have an ATM machine located in the Snack Bar.

Can we switch movie screens?

No. Your Ticket is good only for the Double Feature you purchased it for. You cannot jump screens. If you buy a Ticket for the Front Screen you must stay on the Front Screen. You cannot jump over to the Back Screen. Please remember, Movies are the product we sell and your ticket is good only for the Movies you purchased. If you'd like to watch another movie on a different screen, please visit the box office and purchase a separate ticket for that program. Occasionally with extremely long feature movies, we are not able to play a 2nd feature and your ticket only buys you admission to that single extra long feature film.

I have a large 4x4 or RV can I come to the Drive-in?

Certainly, we just ask that you please park in the back row so not to block the view of other other movie goers. You’ll still have a great view, and will be closer to the snack bar and restrooms.

When do the movies change?

The movies typically change on Fridays. Some movies are held over for more than a week. You can always check our website to see what’s playing and what’s coming soon.

Is the admission for one or two movies?

Our one low price is good for both movies playing on one screen!

May we video tape at the Drive-in?

While we encourage families to take photos and videos of their fun times at the drive-in, please be aware that there is absolutely NO videotaping allowed once the movies have begun.

Do you have any Showboat Drive-in souvenirs?

Yes. We have several items available at the Snack Bar, or simply click on the “Gift Shop” button above  to checkout more items.

Can we leave after the first movie or do we have to stay for both?

You can leave after the first movie, stay for both or even come at intermission for just the second feature. Re-Entry is not allowed.

Why do the gates open an hour or more before the movie starts?

To allow everyone time to get in, pick their parking space, go to the Snack Bar, and get settled in and ready for a fun evening!

Can we make reservations?

No we do not take reservations due to the parking situation. But we do encourage you to get here a little early to park with friends, as we can fill up fast!

Can we bring lawn chairs and sit outside our car?

Yes, but we ask that you keep them in front or close to your vehicle to leave room for other vehicles to park beside you.

What if my battery goes dead?

Just pop your hood and let someone inside the Snack Bar stand know that you need a jump, we'll send someone right out to assist you.  If you are concerned about this, a portable radio, or Boom Box will also work really nice for listening to the movies.

Can we bring our dog, cat, hamster, bird or turtle?

Yes, as long as you keep your pet inside of your vehicle and it does not bother other patrons. The Showboat Drive-in is not responsible for any damage or injury to your pet, or any damage or injury that your pet may cause.

Can we drop our kids off at the Drive-in and pick them up later?

Are you kidding!!!  Noooo, children may not be left unattended.

Are there any rules for the Playground?

Yes, our playground is OPEN when the gates open and is CLOSED when the movies are playing, so others may enjoy the movie.  Children must be supervised at all times.  Play at your own risk.  The Showboat Drive in is not responsible for any injuries or theft.
